A vital component to the donation aspect of the American Beauty Tour is
raising awareness. That is, opening the eyes of all impacted by the tour
to the ongoing problem of child hunger and homelessness in a meaningful
and memorable way.
How Will the Tour Raise Awareness?
Collaboration: Working hand-in-hand
with our charitable partners, each concert will have volunteers from a local
chapter of each partner charity dispersing information on their work, their
mission, and their vision.
Information: Brochures, activism
pamphlets, volunteer sign-up sheets, or any number of materials conducive
to heightening awareness will be distributed. In the cities where a local
representative can not make it, the tour will be available to hand out these
materials at the dis-cretion of each charity.
Turning Awareness into Involvement
On Stage: Each artist will
take a moment during their performance to urge attendees to volunteer, sign-up
for mailing lists, or otherwise get involved with each charity. With a captive
audience, the artist has paramount power of persuasion and influence.
Promotion: Including each charitable partner’s logo on all
promotional aspects of the tour will increase visibility and strengthen
the prospect of involvement by concert attendees.
Action: Attendees will have the option of saving $1 off
the admission price of the concert by simply donating four or more units
of canned food at the door for the local food bank.
